The property was named in honor of the late Vera Katz, the first woman to serve as Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives and a three-term Mayor of Portland. Vera’s bright light left a lasting impact on her adopted hometown of Portland. Her son eulogized her as “the embodiment of the American dream: coming with nothing and making life better not just for herself but for the countless others she touched.” Vera’s indelible spirit serves as a beacon of inspiration for the project named in her honor.
The brand color palette celebrates Vera’s vibrant, energetic life. Her signature choice of bright, jewel-toned clothes reflected her bold vision, unwavering optimism, and progressive views.
